VestaGlass uses a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember your interface preferences, and route your connection reliably. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or selling data.

What we set

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for VestaGlass to work. You cannot opt out of them while using the application.

• __vestaglass_session — A signed, HttpOnly session cookie used to maintain server session state for your browser. Scoped to our domain, SameSite=Lax, marked Secure in production. Cleared when your browser session ends.
• __session (and related Clerk cookies) — Set by our authentication provider, Clerk, to keep you signed in and protect against session hijacking. Managed by Clerk on our behalf.
• fly-force-instance-id — Set by our hosting provider, Fly.io, to pin your connection to a specific server instance so live features like real-time updates work correctly. Cleared automatically when a connection ends so you can be re-routed to a healthy server.

Preferences

• sidebar_state — Remembers whether you have the navigation sidebar expanded or collapsed. First-party, expires after 7 days.

What we do not set

• No advertising or marketing cookies.
• No third-party analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Mixpanel, etc.).
• No cross-site tracking cookies.

We do measure conversions on ads we run on Meta using their server-side Conversions API, but that integration is server-to-server and does not place any cookies in your browser. See our Privacy Policy for the data we send.

Error monitoring

We use Sentry for error monitoring and performance diagnostics. Sentry may use local storage and similar technologies (not cookies) to attribute errors to a session. See our Privacy Policy for details on what Sentry collects.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking our strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using core features of VestaGlass.

Changes

If we change which cookies we use, we will update this page and revise the date above.
